Yesterday I went on a trip. For whatever reason it turned out to be much longer than planned. I left just before five thirty in the morning and returned just before midnight... Worst of all, that late at night I had to pick my way through icy snow slush. It was really terrible. I was only wearing worn out basket shoes and - because the weather was fine in the morning - just a long-sleeved t-shirt and a thin fleece jacket.

When I got home I promised myself not to venture outside until spring is here for real. But today the sun was shining even if it was a bit chilly and there wasn't a trace of the snow anymore. Guess what I did?

That's right. I went for a walk again, a slightly longer walk this time. Still not nearly as long as the ones I used to take a couple of years ago, before I got a pain in my joints, but still a real walk.

So I guess some people never learn. If I don't go for a walk every day, I feel fat and lazy.
